GUY SHRUBSOLE works as a campaigner for Friends of the Earth and has written for numerous publications including the Guardian and The New Statesman. Who Owns England? is his first book.


D R HOOD’s second feature film Us Among the Stones, with Laurence Fox, will premiere at London Film Festival 2019. Her first feature film Wreckers, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy, was nominated for the Sutherland Award for Best British Newcomer at the 2012 London Film Festival, won Best Film in the Perspectives Competition at the 2012 Moscow International Film Festival and received a New Voices/New Visions Grand Jury Prize nomination at the 2012 Palm Springs International Film Festival. Prior toWreckers, Hood wrote and directed multi-award-winning short films The Other Man with BAFTA winner Anna Maxwell Martin, and Journey Man, with Ruth Madoc. Journey Man was a global festival hit and had eight months’ theatrical exhibition in the UK. Hood has also directed for theatre and audio, including audio versions of Aristophanes’ The Clouds with Andrew Sachs and extracts from Homer’s Iliad with David Warner. She wrote Through the Hawthorn, an animation about mental health, funded by the Wellcome Foundation, and has just completed a play Medea of the Islands, also funded by the Wellcome; she is  working on a musical theatre piece, Dr Faustess, and a fantasy romcom Over and Under.
